Press Glass, Inc. – has begun preparatory work to expand its manufacturing facility in Ridgeway, VA. An official announcement regarding the investment was made on August 30, 2023, with the participation of the Governor of the State of Virginia, Mr. Glenn Youngkin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Press Glass will invest $155.2 million to expand at the Commonwealth Crossing Industrial Park in Henry County. The company will construct a 34,000 m2 addition to its existing facility.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this expansion, Press Glass will make the largest single capital investment by a business in Henry County\u2019s history,\u201d\u00a0said Governor Glenn Youngkin.\u00a0\u201cThe addition of 335 new jobs, more than doubling the company\u2019s head count, helps this region continue its economic rebound and demonstrates the resurgence of manufacturing that is happening across the Commonwealth.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The expansion of the production facility is important milestone for Press Glass, Inc. in strengthening its position in the US as a manufacturer of glass for the commercial construction industry.<\/p>\n

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation to secure the project for Virginia. Governor Youngkin approved a $2 million grant from the Commonwealth\u2019s Opportunity Fund to assist Henry County with the project. Funding and services to support the company\u2019s employee training activities will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.<\/p>\n
