Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for most popular PRESS GLASS insulated glass unit configurations confirm some of the most favorable product carbon footprint results in the industry. For a reference 4/16/4 insulated glass unit, the GWP-t value is 22.68 kg CO₂e/m², placing it among the products with the most favorable GWP values reported in publicly available EPDs for comparable insulated glass units.

Global Warming Potential (GWP) is one of the key environmental indicators assessed as part of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). It measures the greenhouse gas emissions associated with a product and is widely used to evaluate the carbon footprint of construction materials, as well as in projects pursuing certification schemes such as BREEAM, LEED and DGNB.

These results are the outcome of many years of continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, energy efficiency and environmental management. They are supported by our Integrated Management System certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001. Our ongoing efforts include process optimization, efficient energy use and initiatives aimed at reducing emissions.

One of the key factors behind these strong results is responsible supply chain management. The environmental impact of the primary raw material, glass, is the single most important factor influencing GWP values and reducing the carbon footprint of the final product.
