Hero – low-emission façade with IGU’s from Press Glass

The Hero Business Centre has been built in the heart of Vilnius’ rapidly developing business district – a project already considered one of the most ambitious architectural ventures in Lithuania. Designed by Cloud Architektai, with the façade constructed by Staticus, the building stands out for its innovative solutions, high quality standards and bold urban vision.

The façade of the Hero Business Centre is one of the most complex elements of the entire project. Staticus, as the façade contractor, is responsible for the delivery and installation of solutions covering over 16,000 m² of space – a unitised façade, creating a dynamic and precise structure of the building, and stick façades, which provide great freedom in shaping the space on the lower floors.

Thermal and acoustic comfort

As part of the project, Press Glass supplied advanced triple glazed units based on Guardian Glass Float and Thermofloat glass, ensuring excellent thermal insulation (Ug = 0.5 W/m²K) and acoustic insulation, as well as natural interior lighting, which has a positive impact on the comfort of use of the office space – while maintaining a reasonable investment budget. The project used both standard sealed units and UV-resistant versions, depending on the type of glazing.

Most of the facility utilised assemblies in the following configuration:

This configuration offers an optimal combination of excellent thermal insulation, high light and solar energy transmittance, and low reflectivity, while maintaining a neutral appearance of the façade. The use of Climaguard Premium 2 coatings and Extra Clear glass has resulted in exceptional clarity and aesthetic consistency throughout the building.

Building with high energy and environmental performance

Hero Business Centre is an A++ energy class building and the first in Lithuania to apply for both the international WELL healthy building certificate and the BREEAM Excellent environmental certificate. It is also an important reference project for the façade industry in the Baltic region, demonstrating the potential for extensive cooperation between market leaders.
