Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz
The new campus of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz is regarded as one of the most remarkable architectural developments in Poland in the fields of education and culture. The facility has become a new icon of the city, combining contemporary architecture, advanced acoustic solutions and high-end façade technologies.
GLAZING TYPES USED IN THE PROJECT
For the project, Press Glass supplied approx. 5500 sqm of IGUs. The glazing packages mainly comprised double-chamber units with highly reflective Energy 65/42S multifunctional glass, providing both solar protection and thermal insulation, as well as double-silver Stopray Vision 52/27 T solar control glass with a neutral, slightly blue tint, giving the project an elegant character.
The façade features silicone-sealed insulated glass units with U-channel, giving the glass façade a cohesive and modern appearance. Most of the toughened glass panes used in the units underwent HST testing.
PROJECT PARTNERS
The project was completed in cooperation with a number of experienced industry partners. The aluminium and glass structures were delivered by Eljako-Al, the aluminium systems were supplied by Aluprof, while the base glass was provided by AGC Glass Europe.
