New Iron
The New Iron building is a award-winning residential project, characterised by its eye-catching corner, which features 112 m² of curved toughened glass.
The glazing uses Combi Neutral 70/35 (now Selekt 70) selective coating glass from Euroglas glassworks, which, in combination with a warm edge spacer bar, provides thermal insulation and protects against solar radiation whilst maintaining high light transmission.
To improve the safety of building users, laminated glass (66.6) was used.
The curved glass corner is completed by black enamelled spandrels, which combine the glazing between the floors into a coherent whole and lend it an elegant appearance.
Awards
The New Iron Łódź was recognised in the European Property Awards 2024-2025, winning the Architecture – Multiple Residence category. As Press Glass, we are honoured to be part of this unique project.
